Second Public Meeting Planned on Indian Springs Site

The Unified Government will host a second meeting on Wednesday, April 19th at 6:00 pm to get community input on a vision for the future of the Indian Springs site. The public meeting will be held at the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools Central Office located at 2010 N. 59th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Midtown Redevelopment District encompasses a little more than 90 acres. Lane4 Property Group, Inc. will be presenting a proposed development they would like to construct on 26 acres located on the southern part of the property.

Commissioners Jane Philbrook, Melissa Bynum and Harold Johnson will be joined by UG staff, Hunter Harris and representatives with Lane4 development for a brief presentation on the development on the 26 acres.

Discussion Topics:

  • What’s being proposed for the 26 acres
  • If proposed plan is approved, what’s the next step in the planning process for future development of remaining acreage
  • Do you believe the proposed development is a good starting point for future development?

If you missed the first meeting or you’re interested in getting an update on proposed development ideas and want to share your vision for this location, please join us at this meeting as we work together to plan for the future.
