City to outline special event operations events during Spring Festival 2017

Austin Center for Events leadership will provide an overview of City safety, security and traffic operations during the 2017 South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference & Festivals in a news conference on Wednesday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the City Hall News Conference Room 1034.

Several representatives from key departments and organizations will be available to answer questions related to event operations. Agencies represented will include:

Austin Police Department
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services
Austin Transportation Department
Austin Fire Department
Austin Public Health
Austin Code Department
Aviation (Austin-Bergstrom International Airport)
Capital Metro
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission
