God, Family, Country By Ezra Taft Benson Viewed 162,195 times

I often consider how history repeats itself and how we, Americans are standing by and letting it repeat itself right before our very eyes. We are distracted by the various, mostly meaningless things we do in life while paying only lip service to the things we profess to believe.

In God, Family, Country we can be reminded of a dire warning of what will befall us if we neglect our purpose for being born. To learn how to be obedient to Gods will and help others do the same. When we loose the strength of our character because we place play over personal development, the values traditionally taught in the home with the decadency of what has become of TV, when we are pacified by politically correctness, and oppressed with taxation we get what we've got. Bondage and tyranny. We deserve nothing less.

It is nearly impossible to teach ourselves that which we don't know we don't know. But it is also imperative that we do so for the sake of our children and our grand-children. If they are to know the once greatness of the freest country that ever was left on earth, we have to teach it.

Read, The Children's Story by James Clavell and you'll see how easy it is to subjugate all that is taught in the home. Read, The Bridge At Andau by James Michener and you'll see what communism becomes and you'll read a simple sentence or two of how the people had to reteach the children each night the values of the Hungarian people after the day spent in indoctrination at the public schools. Which Benson says in your responsibility in America too. Read The Giver, 1984, Atlas Shrugged, Brave New World, The Hunger Games and you'll see what is in-store for our future.

Read about "Bread and Games" and you'll see that this is an age old struggle. Oppression of the masses by the few, power, is what is wanted exerted over us and yet we shop, spend, watch football. Read The Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe and you'll see the patterns, but until we read, discuss and learn history we deserve nothing better.

A few key quotes are:

"God's purpose is to build people of character, not physical monuments to their material accumulations."

"No nation rises above its homes."

"Security is achieved not bestowed...The world owes no man a living."

Ezra Taft Benson talks about principles espoused by his churches leader which have been warning since man was organized. If we were only able to listen an apply these simple principals of truth we would be a happier, safer and freer people.

"Any man will be eternally vindicated and rewarded who stands for freedom."

If you want freedom you must take the responsibility upon yourself to teach it in your home. This book is a must read and an asset to anybodies library.
