Taste of Hibachi from the Land of the Rising Sun in Logan Viewed 430 times

I love Japanese food. So, I feel that we are very fortunate in Logan, Utah to have three good Japanese restaurants to choose from. I pass through Logan often on Main Street and have watched over the past year or so, the changes that have happened at the old JB’s Big Boy restaurant. There have been several restaurants take up residence, but, none have lasted too long.
Admittedly, I waited quite awhile to try out the newest restaurant called Kabuki Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar. I did hear about it from one or two people, but the stars just did not line up. Finally, the day came with a little spare time for lunch. I stopped by and walked in the front door. Deep cherry wood floors with booths and tables to match caught my attention. The inside took me to a time I visited Japan with clean lines and a comfortable atmosphere.
In the back part of the restaurant, there are 12 tables with hibachi grills for those who might want to experience grilled steak, chicken or shrimp. The vegetables are grilled and the experience is reminiscent of a trip to Benihanas’ restaurant.
On this first visit to Kabuki Steakhouse in Logan, Utah, I ordered the Kabuki box with tempura shrimp. With a salad, miso soup, tempura vegetables, rice and four California rolls, I thought this was a great value for about $9. Perhaps, the thing I like most about going to a restaurant like this is that the food is cooked fresh and it tastes fresh.
There are more expensive items on the menu. And, if you choose to sit at the hibachi, the menu starts at about $9 and goes to $16 for lunch. (Dinner is a little more expensive.)
I have told my friends about it. I also took my wife to the restaurant and she enjoyed it. We will be returning again to one of my new favorite restaurants in the Logan area.
If you are going: Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, 461 North Main Street, Logan, Utah (435) 535-3119.
