Truth or Consequences Viewed 100,398 times

It brings me no joy to report the state of our nation from a broader perspective than the 24 hour news media would like you to hear. Truth today is nothing more than a manufactured manifestation of a main stream media who’s goal is to keep folks busy looking at the insignificant while their pockets are picked and liberties stolen. There is no truth to be learned from behind the illuminated screens that broadcast every nuance and critique of nobodies in their nobody worlds. Truth is but a mirage in a desert of deceit, welcome to the un-news of the 21st century.
My friends, the truth is we are marching ever closer to a grand abyss that will forever change the world as we know it. Truth catches little attention these days especially in the political arena of non-ideas, but step ever closer we continue, gladly hand in hand with culprits from both political parties. The well of prosperity has run dry, on life support from ever increasing inflows of imaginary dollars printed like gumdrops in a Candy Land world of “champagne wishes and caviar dreams”. At present America has borrowed from future earnings over $15.3 trillion dollars to keep afloat a ship of state that will sink the hopes and dreams of generations of Americans unless we change course back to our Constitutional roots and now; that my friends is the truth.
Other truths, not much mentioned these days, include the fact that no amount of tax reform will change our trajectory into the deep. Tax policy is not the problem; spending is. No amount of economic stimulus will transform our sorry state of industrial production, no amount of tax credits will put people to work with jobs that create real wealth and no amount of political promise and fudged numbers will refill the cornucopia of plenty.
We must face the real truth that we are no longer a free people whose self determination, right of free association and personal freedom secure the blessings of liberty, rather we have become a people corralled and cared for like beasts of burden. Almost 47 million Americans are now on food stamps. The welfare net secures and insures the poor to an unfulfilled life of comfort, television remote within hands reach so they may live vicariously through a flickering tube filled with rubes and boobs. If the unemployment numbers are truly getting better they must be from an ever expanding under-employed class incapable of enjoying wealth from meaningful work. Fact is, we don’t encourage meaningful work even though we live in a land of plenty where our nation’s resources invite the promise of prosperity for everyone.
We as a people have never been so burdened with government intrusion in all liberties and pursuits of happiness Americans have traditionally enjoyed. This truth is self evident and yet, we have looked the other way, the way toward government fixes and government programs. The perceived notion that a government, big as ours, can deliver all one might desire is the true villain of liberty.
I profess; truth is self evident for those who wish to see. No amount of spin or obfuscation can conceal the trajectory of our pending fate. You can know the truth if you wish to open your eyes and expose this unexplored territory to the incessant chatter boxes on radio and TV by asking a few simple questions:
Will more welfare promote a greater general welfare to our nation?
Can new tax strategies solve the burdensome and growing federal budget crisis?
Has undeclared warfare elevated the promise of liberty over terrorism?
Should government control all aspects of our lives? (try to think of something government doesn’t regulate)
Then ask yourself, who really understands the depth and breadth of our Constitutional Republic while you still have the right to vote and then, boldly vote for liberty. The consequences of a misplaced vote at the polls are too unfortunate to contemplate.
