What was the UN intended to become Viewed 83,401 times

Forty-three years ago, a history teacher at Orem High School, in Orem, Utah, stood near her chalk board as her students carried out her instructions to form a big circle in the room using their desks. She then walked around the room and placed name cards upon each of their desks. The names written on the name cards were for nation-states such as the USA, the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), Great Britain, France, South Korea, North Korea, etc.
The classroom had just been converted to represent a model of the United Nations general assembly, at least as envisioned by the short, young, history teacher. Her message to the students in her classroom that day was a demonstration that the United Nations was a kind of global debating society aimed at bringing world peace and preventing wars around the globe. She was a United Nations ambassador to the students in her classrooms as she indoctrinated us with her simplified propaganda that the United Nations was mankind’s last best hope for peace, but was her message the truth?
Meanwhile in Southeast Asia nearly half a million American soldiers were deployed fighting in combat assignments against the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army (NVA), a war that would continue on another six years under the United Nations regional arrangement, SEATO, the South East Asia Treaty Organization. Was war to be understood to be peace in “UN-speak?” Fifty-eight-thousand American soldiers, sailors, and nurses lost their lives in the SEATO police-action which we spoke of as the “Vietnam War,” an undeclared war, a police action like the UN Korean Police Action.
Some students like me wondered at the message our pretty high school teacher taught us about the UN, but we didn’t receive a real understanding of the roots of the UN from our government-owned school’s employee. We only had a bare, surface view of the UN defined for us as a global debating society, not as the embryonic world government that its designers created it to be, a global government that could draw upon armies and navies of member nations and see them sent into wars to enforce the UN’s will upon unfortunate nation-states that were targeted by the UN Security Council for some enforcement attention.
Our high school U.S. history teacher didn’t teach us about how the UN was formed and by whom. She didn’t teach us about the UN’s involvement in the war on Katanga in Africa in 1961. She didn’t help us understand how the U.S. Constitution was violated when President Truman ordered American combat forces into participating in a “UN police action” war against the armies of North Korea without first seeking a Congressional declaration of war as required by the Constitution. Nor did she explain that the UN makes war for peace.
Today, Brigham Young University (BYU) has a nationally ranked model UN program that exports its views to local Utah High Schools to infect students with the same view, a view that the United Nations is the international referee to supposedly bring peaceful resolutions to internal conflicts within nations and or conflicts between nations. Some BYU’s students who participate in the Model UN Program have won national competitions. Speaking of such a completion, one that drew 5,000 participants from 44 countries, Jordan Harvey, a BYU junior studying political science, said: “The competition emphasized coalition building, consensus and leadership, as well as the ability to effectively work with a diverse group of people.” This was quoted from a BYU April 13th News Release.
“Coalition building,” that is something we witnesses President George Herbert Walker Bush doing when he gathered together a coalition of nations to act as “UN Peacekeepers” to engage in war upon the forces of Iraq in 1990-1991. First, President Bush built a “coalition” of nations to support the UN Security Council’s resolutions that lead to the first Gulf War which was then launched against Iraq’s forces on January 16, 1991. Our armed forces were sent into combat without a declaration of war from our Congress.
For many of us our high school history teacher, or the evening news, or a college professor helped shape our views of the United Nations. For over six decades millions of us were told the UN was a “peace organization” designed to bring peace to the world. But instead since the UN’s creation in October 1945 there have been UN sanctioned wars involving American military forces fought in Korea, in Katanga (the Congo), in Vietnam, in Bosnia, Kosovo, in Somalia, in Haiti, in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and in Libya. So why hasn’t the United Nations lived up to it reputed function as the peace organization? Why has the UN and its subsidiaries NATO and SEATO been the instruments of supranational governmental policy that have brought the U.S. military into combat in so many countries over the past sixty-five years?
Maybe, the United Nations is not and never was a designed to be a genuine “peace organization.” Maybe the UN was actually intended to be a global war machine for the purpose of subduing national governments as a demonstration of UN power to other national governments. In 1945, J. Reuben Clark, a lawyer, a former solicitor in the U.S. State Department, a former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, a former general counsel for the United States, and an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, wrote a draft for a lengthy letter-to-the-editor of the Salt Lake City based DESERET NEWS. The draft was concerning Mr. Clark’s views of the new United Nations Charter. In his judgment “The [UN] charter is built to prepare for war, not to promote peace. In the second place, the Charter, unlike the League Covenant, contemplates the building and maintaining of large military establishments, as has just been pointed out.” He went on to say, “In the third place the Charter specifically provides for the waging of wars and for our participation therein. The stipulation is that if economic sanctions prove ineffective to bring a recalcitrant state to time, armed force shall be brought against her, that is, war will be waged (Charter arts. 41ff). The charter members, including ourselves, agree to furnish air, sea, and land forces (in numbers not specified or suggested in the charter) upon call of the Security Council. “
Mr. Clark warned that “The Charter is a war document not a peace document…” and he went on to warn that “Not only does the [UN] Charter Organization not prevent future wars, but it makes it practically certain that we shall have future wars, and as to such wars it takes from us the power to declare them, to choose the side on which we shall fight, to determine what forces and military equipment we shall use in the war, and to control and command our sons who do the fighting.”
In my opinion the 1945 warnings concerning the United Nations written by J. Reuben Clark were accurate and foresighted. In fact, under the UN Charter, Chapter VIII, NATO, a regional arrangement of the United Nations was created, and under NATO our sons did indeed make war upon inhabitants of Kosovo without our Congress declaring war upon that country and they did so under the command of NATO commanders, not Americans. That is but one example of U.S. soldiers, sailors or airmen fighting for NATO/UN purposes.
But where did the UN get its start? Who was involved in starting the United Nations? What was the actual purpose of the United Nations? These were questions that were not answered in any depth for me when I attended Orem High School, BYU, or USU. Maybe you did not find answers in your education to these questions either.
There are some books that any serious investigator who seeks to understand the plan behind the formation of the United Nations could read to gain an understanding. I keep these five books in my personal library as reference books.
THE FEARFUL MASTER—A SECOND LOOK AT THE UNITED NATIONS, by G. Edward Griffin is an initial book. Published in 1964 by Western Islands publishing company in Belmont, Massachusetts, the paperback is out of print but can still be found perhaps at Amazon.com.
THE SHADOWS OF POWER—THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS AND THE AMERICAN DECLINE, by James Perloff. This book, published in 1988 by Western Islands helps readers understand the role played by members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in bringing about the United Nations.
GLOBAL TYRANNY…STEP BY STEP – THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE EMERGING NEW WORLD ORDER, by William F. Jasper was published by Western Islands publishing company in 1992. My 1992 copy was finally autographed by the author in September 2001 when he was in Provo, Utah speaking about terrorism just after the tragic terror attacks struck America.
THE UNITED NATIONS EXPOSED—THE INTERNATIONALIST CONSPIRACY TO RULE THE WORLD, by William F. Jasper, published in 2001 by The John Birch Society ties together the network of power that secretly plans to establish a global government with power over all nations.
INSIDE THE UNITED NATIONS—A CRITICAL LOOK AT THE UN, by Dr. Steve Bonta is a small paperback published in 2003 by The John Birch Society that addresses many of the myths that surround the UN to lend it a benign appearance. The United Nations has even purchased the book from ShopJBS.org within the past few years in order to see what criticisms have been leveled against it so it can mask itself on its websites so that the truth told by the little book can’t be so easily verified in the future.
Having read these and other books about the United Nations, my own view of the United Nations would not be found to be flattering by proponents of the United Nations at today’s universities.
How did the United Nations come to be? In 1943, Secretary of State Cordell Hull formed a steering committee at the U.S. State Department to tackle the job of creating a new global entity that could replace the largely defunct League of Nations. The UN originated in the minds of CFR intellects at the State Department including Cordell Hull, Leo Pasvolsky, Isaiah Bowman, Summer Welles, Norman Davis, and Myron Taylor. Mr. Perloff, on page 71 of his book SHADOWS OF POWER informs us that “All of these men—with the exception of Hull—were in the CFR. Later known as the Informal Agenda Group, they drafted the original proposal for the United Nations.” In fact by 1942 the term “United Nations” was already in use by top leaders such as President Franklin D. Roosevelt as an interchangeable term with the term “the allies” commonly used to describe the opponents of the “axis powers.”
On August 25th, 1944, a secretive meeting was being held at an estate in Georgetown known as the Dumbarton Oaks estate. Armed Soldiers guarded the gates to keep out the press, the curious, or those opposed to “internationalism.” Dr. Bonta relates the story of how a man “claiming to represent the America First movement and the interests of ‘American nationalists’ was arguing heatedly with military police assigned to guard the gates, demanding access to the international conference taking place inside. For several days, delegates from the governments of three world powers—the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union—had been meeting there under a cloak of secrecy. Congress had been told little more than that the men meeting at Dumbarton Oaks were laying plans for a postwar security arrangement…” This was another step in the finalization of the UN Charter on its way to the founding UN Convention. Communist and CFR member Alger Hiss, a high level State Department operative was the meetings Secretary General overseeing the preparations for the UN’s blueprint.
Later, in June 1945, at the UN founding conference in San Francisco more than 40 of the American delegates attending the conference were CFR members. “Preeminent among them was Soviet agent Alger Hiss, who was Secretary-General of the conference and helped draft the UN Charter,” wrote James Perloff.
The globalists at the Council on Foreign Relations played a very large role in creating the United Nations Charter and organization. Another globalist, John D. Rockefeller, Jr., gifted $8.5 million to the United Nations so that the new organization could purchase land on New York’s East River for its headquarters.
Communists and CFR members played key roles in the drafting of the United Nations Charter. The goal of International Communism has long been the overthrow of national governments and the creation of their world order. The goal of many internationalists in the CFR has likewise been the establishment of a world government as well, or a “new world order,” which would mean the end of the sovereignty of nation-states. The authors of the books listed above agree that the UN was created as a governmental structure to be strengthened gradually into a global government that would have unchallengeable power over all nations.
Longtime CFR leader David Rockefeller made an astounding admission in his 2001 book, MEMOIRS, on pages 404-405: “Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as internationalists and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure- one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”
Some internationalists believe world government could force world peace, but in my opinion, world government would bring a vast concentration of deadly power and would thus bring a global tyranny worse than any tyranny mortal humans have yet had to suffer under.
If absolute power corrupts absolutely as Lord Acton said, then the absolute power of a global government, empowered with a monopoly on deadly force would become the most corrupt power center the earth has ever known.
