LOGAN, UT — The Cache Valley Center for the Arts announced its 2012-2013 season programming for the Ellen Eccles Theatre at their recent Member & Sponsor reception. In a wide-ranging programming that covers theatre, dance, music of all kinds, and productions for the entire family, the Cache Valley Center for the Arts continues its commitment, as northern Utah’s center for the performing arts, presenting the best national and international arts. Tickets for the Cache Valley Center for the Arts 2012-2013 season will go on sale on August 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. Businesses and Individuals can help celebrate the magic of live theatre by sponsoring a show or the entire season. For more information about sponsorship, please call 435-753-6518.
This year marks CVCA’s 20th year presenting the “best” in touring acts. CVCA’s programming committee works year-round scouting out the best shows in the business to build the perfect mix for the region. “The twentieth season will introduce audiences to performing artists around the states-from Portland to New York City and everything in-between,” said Wally Bloss, Executive Director for the Cache Valley Center for the Arts. “The Ellen Eccles Theatre will highlight an incredible line-up opening with classics sung by The Manhattan Transfer to innovative and refreshingly simple dance choreography by Portland’s distinctive BodyVox. Throughout the season fabulous vocal artists like Bobby McFerrin, Natalie MacMaster and Chanticleer will lead us in discovering new sounds and complex interpretations. This season will entertain with Broadway shows that “put it all on the line” to holiday classics and family favorites like Miracle on 34th Street and Imago Theatre’s ZooZoo. This season is definitely an entertaining mix.”
Come “Live it Up” at the Ellen Eccles Theatre by helping raise the curtain on the 2012-2013 Season. Whether you make it to one of CVCA’s year round productions, attend UFO’s summer Opera season, catch one of Music Theatre West’s musicals or stop in for the annual CVCB production of “The Nutcracker,” you will enjoy a special experience – live performance in an exquisite space. Plan to be thoroughly entertained and engaged by some of the most exciting visual and theatrical sensations, not to mention imaginative spectacles. The season is full of playful, eye popping, ear-grabbing energy.
